Meningococcal Disease

Meningococcal Disease

meningococcal disease

Meningococcal disease is a severe bacterial infection of the bloodstream or meninges (a thin lining covering the brain and spinal cord) caused by the meningococcus germ. The meningococcus germ is spread by direct close contact with nose or throat discharges of an infected person. The infection will cause severe damage to the meningitis and then this disease is called as the Meningococcal Disease.

The Meningococcal Disease is caused due to the following;

  • The bacterium infection occurred due to the consistent presence of the bacteria on the skin is the basic reason for this deadly disease which is fatal, harmful, severe and life threatening.
  • Haemophilus influenza.
  • The infections created by fungi, bacteria etc.
  • Bacterium Neisseria meningitis is one of the major cause of this disease.

Symptoms;

  • Drowsiness, dizziness and the confusion for longer duration.
  • Vomiting sensation and continuous vomiting.
  • Pale skin.
  • Rash.

Treatment

Meningococcal Disease can be treated, thanks to the medical industry which works hard regularly to invent the treatments so that this disease can be overcome. Vaccinations should be done from time to time keep these bacteria and virus at bay (James S. Pendegraft).

The three vaccines available to prevent meningococcal meningitis are safe and effective. However, the vaccines may cause mild and infrequent side effects, such as redness and pain at the injection site lasting up to two days.

Can Psoriasis Protect Against Cancer?

Psoriasis

Skin Cancer Itching. Psoriasis is a chronic recurring disease, which usually manifests on the skin but may also affect the nails, the joints (5-30% of people with psoriasis) and the mucous membranes (1-2% of people with psoriasis).

Relatives of psoriasis are found in about 50% of people with psoriasis. A person with psoriasis can’t develop any real manifestation of psoriasis. Analysis of blood and skin of people with psoriasis revealed certain deviations compared with those without psoriasis.

According to Professor, Dr. Lubert Stryer, uric acid levels with centuries have become higher in humans as an evolutionary replacement of Vitamin C functions in order to protect humans against oxidative stress. Lower primates are known to have lower life spans and higher cancer rates when compared to the higher primates.

Does that mean that the uric acid protects the higher primates from the oxidative stress resulting in cancers? People with psoriasis may possess various other benefits when compared to the people without psoriasis, all resulting from the high levels of the uric acid in the blood of the people with psoriasis.
